Keeping up with the ever-changing regulations and emission monitoring can be a daunting and confusing task.

We have recognised that many operators who work in the emitting process field can find the ever-changing regulations and processes they must work to somewhat daunting. We have put together a 2-day training course which aims to help process emitting operators understand their responsibilities and potential implications when carrying out emissions testing work.

The course covers:

• Operator monitoring assessment (OMA)
• The Environment Agency Monitoring Certification Scheme (MCERTS)
• UKAS accreditation requirements of test houses
• CEN and ISO standards including BS EN 14181 and BS EN 15259
• Particulate sampling techniques
• Gaseous sampling techniques
• Site auditing
• Health and safety in stack testing

The course is primarily aimed at individuals who work within companies who have a responsibility for environmental management. However we have had attendance from the Environmental Agency, instrument manufacturers and local authorities.

The course is held periodically in response to demand at Bretby Business Park near Burton on Trent and a buffet lunch is provided.
